Elaine Greer

Elaine has been a non executive Director since EASL was first established in 2012 and has recently, in 2021,  taken on a paid role with the company as Business  Director (Operations and Staff Development) 

Her previous employment was as a senior manager working in mental health services in the NHS with a wide range of experience.

She is a nurse by background and has worked in general and mental health settings directly as a clinician and also in management roles. In her work she endeavoured to deliver high quality care to service users and to support others to do the same. 

She has managed and supervised staff members from a range of professional backgrounds and has worked with teams and services to improve performance and quality. 

She has experience of managing and driving forward change programmes and in working collaboratively with and influencing partner organisations. She has worked overseas in the Middle East and in West Africa as a volunteer, nurse, manager and trainer. 

Her particular interests are in working with psychosis and homelessness and in developing and supporting individuals and teams. She is also passionate about supporting the development of mental health services in areas where there is little or no provision.
