I qualified as a social worker in 1986, and have worked with statutory social services with elderly and disabled people, and for many years in management roles in the voluntary and community sector in hostel, night shelter and day centre settings, supporting homeless people, including working with homeless people with mental health problems in a project in Eastern Nigeria.
Between 2002 and 2014 I worked for Hertfordshire County Council, first as a development worker in health and social care, then moving into community planning as a Community Strategy Officer, and finally in Adult Social Care as a Commissioning Officer.
I started working for EASL on a sessional basis in 2014, supporting the development of funding bids, and moved onto a permanent part time contract in 2017. My role includes; oversight of budgets and accounts; oversight of all our contracts, including monitoring and invoicing; supporting our planning processes; and supporting the development of organisational management systems and procedures.
