HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM HOSTELS , OUTREACH AND FLOATING SUPPORT

EASL has been involved in developing and supporting Local Authority-funded accommodation for single homeless people in Hammersmith and Fulham. since 2012. 

The team has carried out assessments and helped housing teams respond to the more complex mental health issues of residents through structured supervision and training.

According to the Local Authority’s own evaluation, this support has led to more positive outcomes for residents, a fall in the number of evictions, greater staff confidence, and fewer “inappropriate” referrals to mental health services. 

This support has also been extended to their outreach and floating support teams, supporting the pathway for homeless people from rough sleeping to sustaining a tenancy in their own home.
