I am mental health social worker and have worked in statutory mental health services for over 20 years. Prior to that, I worked in the third sector in supported housing and advocacy. I have also worked as a mental health lead practitioner within Children's Social Care, supporting and supervising work related to parental mental health.
I qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in 2006 and practiced in that role until 2020. Alongside this, for some years I worked as a sessional AMHP for Camden Emergency Out-of-Hours Duty Team.
I have mentored and assessed newly qualified social workers and AMHPs which is something I have always enjoyed. Since 2012 until my arrival at EASL in 2025, I worked as a Team Manager and then Service Manager of an NHS Early Intervention Service working with 14-65 year-olds who were experiencing a first episode of Psychosis.
I am committed to working in this field and endeavour to practice in a thoughtful, reflective, trauma-informed and recovery-focused way.
